Assists program administrators in providing leadership in carrying out the goals and objectives of the Program/District and administering and supervising the full-time virtual program toward the fullest possible development of each student. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as administrative head of the school in the absence of the Director of Curriculum Support and other program administrators. Administers a program of student discipline and interacts with students to encourage positive performance. Assists with the administration, supervision and evaluation of the total virtual instructional program. Assists in coordinating, supervising, and evaluating Special Education Services for Ai students. Assists in coordinating and supervising mandated State and District assessments. Assists in managing building staff, including class schedules and building problems. Assists in supervising staff attendance and assignment of substitute teachers. Assists with scheduling special events during the school day. Serves as a liaison between Aiken iNNOVATE and the home-schools for Ai students. Provides supervision for students on campus (when applicable) during in-person testing and special events in parking lots, cafeteria, restrooms and other areas of the facility. Assists in supervising and coordinating all student activity programs. Organizes and prioritizes time to maintain visibility and accessibility on school grounds and/or school events. Assists in supervising student attendance services, the registration of students and related services. Directs the summer instructional program and related services as assigned. Assists in development and maintenance of a philosophy of school discipline. Assists in the evaluation of faculty and staff as designated by administration. Maintains comprehensive, multi-year files for students requiring disciplinary action. Assists in preparing and supervising all field trips and related forms, reports and procedures. Assists in supervising the buildings and grounds, including related budgets and personnel. Participates in professional learning as determined by professional goals, district or state requirements. Maintains relationship with parents and community. Performs other duties as may be assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Education and minimum three (3) years of experience in teaching. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
